Memories of Alan Younts:
A great friend.... - [ Alan Nix ]
Alan Younts's love for Billy Idol, I love to turn up Rebel Yell really loud when it comes on our 80's station! - [ Yvonne McKee/Murphy ]
Alan and I had the same driver's ed class. Since he and I were always last in the alphabetical listing, we were grouped together
for driving practice. One day Mr. West left Alan and I in the car all by ourselves to run into a store (what was he thinking?).
Alan looked at me and said, "I've got to lay a scratch." I tried to talk him out of it, but you know how that went. It must have
taken him 20 tries, but he finally "laid his scratch" in the empty parking lot. I was scared to death. Mr.West never knew his car
had even moved. Of course Alan was Mr. Innocent when he came back. - [

Several Sundays I remember seeing Alan in the church parking lot, he would say to me 'are you as sleepy as I am?'. We would both
drive back home and take a nap. Then we'd sneek back to the church parking lot just in time for our parents to see us there - sleeping
through both Sunday school and Church. - [ Steve Buckingham ]
I remember Alan falling asleep in English class and having the biggest pool of drool on his desk. Also him mooning the girls' car
on the way to North Lake. - [ Gretchen Shaw/Zimmerman ]
I have so many memories of Al, really hard to name just one. He was a special friend during high school and we had some really
funny times....Most of the time, we spent chasing 'babes' as he refered to them and always trying to get dates with the 'fabolous four'
as he always referred to them as well. The funny part is we never had many dates, but we always acted like we did.....
So many great times with Al. - [ Brad Stogner ]
I remember the crazy times in Florida on the First Baptist Church trip. He hated to attend the daily bible study groups,
but sure made
them a lot of fun. He could always make you laugh! - [ Janet Richmond/Shipley ]
I'm sure this is probably not the best story to tell (nor the most flattering for me!), but it does stand out. Alan and I were in Mrs. Loop's
American history class together, and sat right next to each other. I loved
playing tricks on him, and I think I had him Convinced for the
better part of the semester that I was physically
unable to pass gas! For once, I was able to make him laugh at me! - [ Jennifer Eurom/Boyer ]
I remember every morning walking into the commons and him walking up to me to see if I had my English homework so he
could copy it I would say no a lot and he would smile that cute innocent little smile he had withe the lip curled up slightly and I
would give him my homework!
